Vegan Spiced Hot Chocolate

27th September 2019

Spiced Hot Chocolate

The best hot chocolate ever!

Serves 4

1l non-dairy milk

4 tbsp cacao powder

1 tsp vanilla bean paste

¼ tsp ground ginger

¼ tsp ground cinnamon

4 tbsp maple syrup

100g dairy-free chocolate, grated

TO SERVE

2 tsp cacao powder

vegan marshmallows (optional)

Heat together all the ingredients for the hot chocolate except the grated chocolate in a saucepan until it reaches a light simmer, then add the chocolate. Whisk until the chocolate has melted – don’t let it boil. Serve your hot chocolate in mugs, topped with a sprinkle of cacao powder, and vegan marshmallows if you like.
