The JUNO Team
In the last issue of JUNO we said goodbye to Jess, who is now happily settled in Cornwall and enjoying visiting the sea every day. In this issue we say goodbye to two more of the JUNO team – but don’t worry, as there are some hellos too!
First of all we say thank you and goodbye to Zion Lights, who has been writing for JUNO and supporting me as contributing editor. Zion’s research-based and scientific perspective has been extremely valuable. She has also provided us with some fascinating interviews, and I have been inspired by the perspective she has shared in her Environmentally Aware Parenting column. Thank you, Zion, for all you have brought to JUNO.
Secondly, we say a very sad farewell to Helen Banks, our sub-editor, who has chosen to retire after a very long career with JUNO. Helen has been working with JUNO since Issue 12, which was published in 2007, so she has worked on over 50 issues, making this very much the end of an era for JUNO. I have learnt so much from Helen, who is an incredible source of knowledge and whose attention to detail is inspirational. She has been a huge part of creating JUNO to the standard it is today, and she will be very much missed by us all in the team.
But as two doors close, two more open. I am delighted to introduce you to two
new members of the JUNO team. Sarah joins us as editor’s assistant, and Isobel joins
us as marketing assistant. They come to us with an exciting and eclectic range
of experience and expertise and, with Rosalind, our designer, and Jo supporting
us on the advertising team, we are looking forward to creating many more
beautiful issues of JUNO.
If you are going to Tribal Hearts Festival, come and say hello – we will be there! We will also be at the Steiner conference in September. This is the year the Steiner-Waldorf Community are celebrating 100 years since the first school opened, and we are delighted to be joining them in those celebrations. Find out more on page 8.
