About Us
Patricia Patterson-Vanegas, Co-editor. Patricia lives in Sussex with her husband and their 8 year-old child. She is an economist, with an MA in finance and a PhD in social policy. Former education manager for Apple Computers (Colombia), Patricia also worked as a financial consultant for public and private enterprises in both the UK and Colombia. Her interests include yoga and writing.
Emma Hiwaizi, Co-editor. Emma co-created the Green Guide for London and the Children's Garden, a Waldorf kindergarten in London. She has a degree in anthropology from King's College, Cambridge. A Londoner at heart, she now lives in Sussex with her husband and three wonderful daughters.
'We are by no means parenting gurus ourselves - it is precisely because we still have so much to learn that we were inspired to create Juno in the first place.
On a personal level we are committed to conscious parenting - but we would hate to be telling you how to parent. Becoming a parent is the ultimate creative act and Juno aims to encourage you to trust your instincts and follow your own path.
You may not agree with everything you read in Juno (we hope you don't!), but our wish is that some of what you find will speak directly to you. We believe that we all have a story to tell and that sharing these stories is a way to re-create community!'
